As someone in customer service, I wish more people had this ladies ideas on manners and grace. So many people of means treat people of the middle class (AKA the servant class) like we are something gross they stepped in. Thank you for being a graceful, high class lady and encouraging others to do the same. Also, cheesecake girl is really confused about courtship. Courtship is dating with an intention toward marriage, not voluntary servitude.

If there are any Italian men/boys watching visiting this site and are interested in African/American women and feel a love for them in your heart: GO FOR IT!!! Don't make the same mistake I made so many years ago trying to please my family's expectations of who I should marry and be with to make them happy. I tell my two sons always to go for who they love deep in their heart and it does not matter what their racial makeup is as long as they love you truly. Remember, people that talk behind your back are talking to your ass. Not only are African/American beautiful, they are the most resourceful and courageous women on the planet.

The first wave of Italian/Sicilian migration took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. After the emancipation of the slaves, Italians, specifically Sicilians, were brought to the south to do the work of the former slaves. Italians in the south were placed under Jim Crow. It was not uncommon for an Italian family to have a child with brown skin, brown eyes, jet black hair and another child with green eyes and red hair (like in my family). They were discriminated against by the southern whites at the time, because they were seen has legitimizing African/Americans. In 1891, 11 Italians were killed, some lynched, by an angry mob of the citizenry after being found not guilty of the murder of the chief of police of New Orleans; there unfound accusations of "mafia." At the time, the French Quarter was almost renamed Little Palermo, because there were so many Sicilians living there. Of the lynching, President Theodore Roosevelt said "It was a good thing." In 1999 the movie "Vendetta" came out which tells this story. There is also the book with the same title by Richard Gambino. Like most of our American history, the book and movie straighten out some misinformation.

All other races of men bring up their women with them, when they (the men) become successful. Why can't black men. They seem to leave us in the dirt. I quest we don't fit the narrative of sucess. Shameful

Actually during columbus period there were more white slaves. Black slaves didnt come to america until much later an i believe during slavery there were 35 states of which around 14 had slavery. So this girls way off on her history on slavery.

The question of NOT building a man up it quite problematic. I know you are speaking in a specific context - black men. But generally, this is how marriages were formed - 2 young people meet, marry and work together for their success and wealth. Nowadays women just want everything ready. So the man gets through the toughest sh*t in his life, gets a home, career etc. And girls nowadays just want to just waltz in there, like that. With no effort. And expect loyalty. This is absurd. Where were you when the man was getting through all the the toughest sh*t in his life? I owe you nothing, sister. It's not how true and lasting loyalty and family is built.

I wonder if it’s a respect thing. I’ve dated white women and black women and I Think I feel different around white women because I see my mom in a way and maybe take that for granted, but when I date black women I think I maybe treat them differently. Asians are not fans of black people, especially U.S Negroes; I'd avoid that situation like the plague. I just came across your channel and thumbs up to you for encouraging black women to seek relationships outside our race. It's a must-do in these times as black men increasingly seek nonblack mates. This is especially true with black athletes and professional men (business, academia, etc.). These groups trend overwhelmingly to white/Latino/Asian women and with that go the chance for black females to "marry up" and share in the wealth created by the black male celebrity/athlete/professional man demographics.
